Do you ever wonder where your seemingly unlimited energy, particularly your inner strength is coming from? Have you ever acknowledged you have become a positive influence on other people’s lives at one time or another? Well, you’d be surprised to know that every individual has this specific energy, the kind that powers life itself – the chi.

Experts say it is the fundamental life force energy that fosters harmony between mind and body. If you feel you’re in extremely deep health and able to maintain calmness amidst a tense surroundings, you must have an outstanding level of chi. And perhaps, you still don’t have any idea that this force is flowing through you and through everything else! To understand better what chi is and how to develop it, let’s try to delve into what benefit chi brings us.

    What Chi Does for Us

When an individual reaches a sense of balance, that is, when his own feelings, thoughts and body are in harmony with one another, he becomes more reflective. He becomes more conscious of and sensitive to the things happening within and around him. Imagine having a sense of control over things and situations.

In such a state, no amount of stress, exhaustion or illness can ever put a person down. It’s as if you have so much power in your mere human body, apparently formidable. If you cultivate your chi energy, you’re going to be equipped with techniques that could transform whatever is negative into positive.

How Do You Cultivate Chi Energy?

There are several ways to encourage the development of this spiritual force.

    1. Engage in Aiki yoga

This will tone your body making it supple once you have completed a variety of exercises.

    1. Engage in Aiki Taiso

There are conditioning exercises to follow that resemble the ones done in Tai Chi.

    1. Learn other forms of exercises

In Kokyu Ho, you’ll learn deep breathing exercises that can restore energy to the body and stimulate blood circulation.

    1. Do meditation

When you’re able to connect with your inner source, you feel absolute calmness that your inner energy will be totally recharged.

    1. Do a moving meditation

In Shin Ki, there’s a set of movements in a flowing slow motion which can also be used as self-defence.

    1. Grounding

This means to settle on the ground and centre on one’s inner core so that the mind and body are unified.

What does it mean when you say “cultivate your chi”? Cultivating this life force means you’re going to find ways to create direct awareness of the existence of chi in your own human body and mind. Now, this can be easier said than done. You need to find a good mentor who will teach you how to achieve your goals.
